Fall Intersession Camps

During the Fall Intersession Break we will offer three, week-long day camps for girls and boys in kindergarten through fifth grade. Each of our camps have a different theme, and each is designed to spark the sense of wonder on which children thrive.

To register, download the Fall Intersession Registration Form from the link in the right side border. Mail that to us with your payment to reserve a seat in one of our camps.

Fall River Camp, September 15-19, 2008

River Camp is inspired by the fun, folklore, and magic of the living Eno River.  We will sing songs, tell stories, play games, and embark on adventures that celebrate this incredible river. Along the way we’ll discover lessons from the past, present, and the future of the Eno. Each day will be a rollicking adventure along the banks of the river and in the wading creeks, so bring your water shoes, your knapsack, and your sense of discovery! Cost: $225.

Fall Otter Camp, September 22-26, 2008

Capture the playful, creative, adventurous spirit of the otter in this wonderful game-filled camp! Otters are fun-loving curious creatures that spend much of their time investigating the natural world around them. Using sight, smell, touch, taste, and intuition, otters can uncover some of life’s mysteries. During Otter Camp, we too will explore our natural surroundings through creative play. Cost: $225.

Fall Earth Camp, September 29 through October 3, 2008

Earth Camp celebrates the natural beauty of, and the lessons to be learned from the natural world. By focusing on the four elements - Earth, Air, Water, and Fire - we foster connection within ourselves, to each other, and with the Earth. Camp activities may include lodge time, animal tracking, games, making debris shelters, rock art, fire-making, and Walkabout - an all-day adventure along the banks of the Eno River. Cost: $225.

Fall Turtle Camp, October 6 - 10, 2008

In Native American teachings, Turtle is the oldest symbol for planet Earth.  In this camp our theme is that of going deeper, getting to know more dearly this earth we walk, and getting to know ourselves in Earthplay.  Turtle symbolizes community and so through art, music, cooking and play we devote ourselves to better getting to know others.  Our two clans, the wood clan and the stone clan will bring a healthy share of games.  You don’t have to be experienced, you just have to be willing to experience.  Activities include stone and wood art, knife safety, fire safety and cooking, naturalist skills and deep woods games.  Cost: $225.
