Luna Jr. is a camp for girls aged 8-12 who want to experience the beauty of nature and the power of community. The aim of Luna Jr. is to be an empowering and nurturing experience in the wilderness, challenging girls to take on a leadership role, learn new skills, and grow as individuals. We will work together to create a supportive community of strong young women, taking care of and listening to one another. Luna campers have the opportunity to explore the outdoors and discover wisdom within themselves.
The experience will culminate with an overnight on Thursday night, when we will celebrate our camp community, the earth, and the creatures of the night. We will cook on the fire and sleep under the stars, and perhaps even undertake some nighttime challenges in the forest.
As a team-building and leadership experience, activities will vary with the group. Some sample activities may include:
- Team-building challenges
- Earth skills and wild plant medicine
- Songs and celebrations
- Crafts such as bead-making, clay, & basketry
- Deep woods games
- Scout missions
Luna Jr. Camp is for girls aged 8-12; price varies with optional overnight. This camp ends at 5pm and has a staff:camper ratio of 1:8.
