No people have lived so intimately with the Eastern Forest, known the ways of its animals, of its rock and earth, or of its plants as have the indigenous peoples of America. Certainly any short experience is only a glimpse into the way the people lived, but in Native Ways students interactively discover lifestyles of the woodland Native Americans: through games, interactive demonstrations, and direct experience. Earth skills such as friction fire-making and trapping are just a part of this exciting, well-loved program.
