Otter Camp

Join Schoolhouse of Wonder as we capture the playful, creative, adventurous spirit of the Otter in this wonderful game-filled camp! Otters are very curious creatures that spend much of their time investigating the natural world around them. During Otter Camp, we too will explore our natural surroundings through creative play.

The spirit of playfulness fuels this exciting week of camp, offering campers a unique opportunity for cooperative play in the outdoors. Far from the world of electronic toys and games, we will invent our own ways to have fun in nature. Games will be used as a means to build creativity, imagination, kinesthetic expression and Earth awareness. Otter Camp also helps campers develop interpersonal skills such as teamwork and leadership.

We play all types of games:

  • Cooperative games
  • Big Woods games
  • Theater games
  • “The Game” (a Schoolhouse of Wonder classic)
  • Riddles
  • Invent your own games
  • Scavenger hunts and puzzles
  • River games
  • Games of imagination
  • Games of honor
