River Camp is inspired by the fun, folklore, and magic of the living Eno River. This week the river will become a hallmark, a guide, and a companion for us all. We will explore the banks and riffles of the river, seeking out the large and small creatures that inhabit it. We will sing songs, tell stories, play games, and embark on adventures that celebrate this incredible river. Along the way, we’ll discover lessons from the past, present, and the future of the Eno. Each day will be a rollicking adventure along the banks of the river and in the wading creeks, so bring your water shoes, your knapsack, and your sense of discovery!
Activities may include:
- Raft building
- Leaf boat parades
- Exploring the Mill and Sennett’s hole
- Homemade pole fishing
- Extra time wading in the water
