Welcome to the forest, but how does it all work? What’s in a forest? Step into our Eno River forest to investigate the needs of different animals and plants: the Air, Water, Food, Shelter, Space. This class serves as an excellent process for students to get a tactile and visual understanding of the interdependence of plants and animals. Students engage in identifying the functions of organisms within the forest ecosystem, learning about the different layers of a forest and how they serve as habitat for wildlife, as well as perform many functions for humans. Through a variety of interactive games, role-playing, exploration, and discovery, students gain an intimate understanding of the forest ecosystem.
