Toad Camp

Get way down and low and become the toad. In this camp for little people we will explore the ways of the animal through creative play, movement and animal games. We will go looking for the toad where he lives in his hollows and haunts, and for his cousins too; the little green tree snake, the slippery frog, and the elegant turtle in the seeps and draws of summer. It’s a grand exploration and just the most fun!

The Toad Camp experience allows younger campers to discover and celebrate the magic and wonder of nature. The activities, stories and songs we’ll experience during this fun-filled week are designed to inspire and nurture children’s interest in the natural world.

Toad Camp for ages 5-7 ends at 3pm and has a staff:camper ratio of 1:6.  In July 2010, Toad Camp will be a four day camp due to the Festival Activities in the Park.  Toad Camp II in August will be a Five Day Camp.

Activities may include:

  • Moving like animals: hopping, bounding, galloping!
