Wilderness Skills Workshop

This immersive and inspiring workshop will focus on the art of wilderness survival. Topics will include: ways to build primitive shelters, find drinkable water, build and use fires, and gather wild edible plants. We will also teach tracking, nature observation and other ancestral skills for living and learning in the natural world. Students will learn to read tracks and connect those tracks with the stories they tell about the earth and the animals that move upon it. We will also practice ways of moving silently through the landscape, blending with the rhythm and flow of the natural world. With experienced instructors guiding the workshop, these skills will be woven together into a rich and powerful earth awareness experience.

Most importantly, we will learn together by using ancient blueprints for positive community living. These wonderful lessons will aid us in our personal growth and also inspire us to unite as a community of responsible caretakers and mentors who are reclaiming our deep connections to the earth and to one other.
