Wilderness Skills Workshop FAQ

Where: Hill Educational Forest in Durham County
When: 9:30am Sept. 16th to 1:30pm Sept. 17th

We ask that you are ready to participate in outdoor activities in all weather, so please be mindful when choosing clothes! You might want to leave nicer, dressy clothes at home in favor of more comfortable, flexible outdoor gear.

Logistics

Outdoor camp spaces will be provided. There is a bath house and water fountains a short walk from the camping area. We will also be renting a cabin for indoor classroom space in case of inclement weather.

Schoolhouse will be providing:

  • Saturday night dinner
  • Sunday morning breakfast

Each participant is responsible for bringing their own lunch for Saturday.

We ask that all cell phones and such devices be turned off during classes or preferably left in participant’s vehicles. To insure an uninterrupted community experience, we ask that participants stay in the camp area and leave cars parked until the end of class on Sunday.

If you have any further questions, concerns, or special needs, please do not hesitate to call us at (919) 477-2116. We look forward to seeing you soon!
