At Schoolhouse of Wonder, we are creating a unique model of environmental learning. Our environment includes not only the plants and the animals, the water and the air, but also the people we share our spaces and surroundings with. Our environment does not stop at the boundaries of our parks and protected natural spaces. It includes all spaces we exist in. It is impossible for us to separate our environment from the people we share it with. How can we respect our environment if we don’t respect all of its inhabitants?
Our goal at Schoolhouse of Wonder is to develop within each member of our community the motivation and inspiration to continue learning long after our time together is over. But Schoolhouse of Wonder needs your help to maintain these high quality and essential programs.
The City of Durham generously provides us with the space to run our programs, keeping our overhead costs to a minimum. Over 80% of our expenses are program delivery costs, and the remaining administrative and operational costs are funded through program fees. This ensures that 100% of your donation goes toward the delivery of our high-quality programs.
